When it comes to trade fairs and conventions held in Germany, KMK is among the top 15 organisations in the industry. We are innovative forward-thinkers guided by a focus on customers and service delivery. The result: many recurring events and plenty of satisfied customers, exhibitors and visitors.
As a 100% subsidiary of the city of Karlsruhe, KMK operates in the public sector. Our employment and remuneration policies are thus based on German labour agreements for public sector employment (TVöD). Our management works closely with a works council and youth and trainee representatives to ensure that we continue to offer (and build upon) working conditions that adhere to the highest standards.
In addition to remuneration based on the TVöD, we also offer our employees one special payment each year, a home savings plan and an annual, performance-related bonus. Other benefits include free parking and employee meal vouchers for discounts in the KMK canteen.
KMK also cares for its employees as they get older. In addition to an occupational pension scheme (ZVKRente), all employees can opt to pay into supplementary insurance plans through a deferred compensation programme/direct insurance.
We offer a fantastic place to work with flat hierarchies, interesting responsibilities, a high degree of autonomy and great working conditions covering all aspects of the workplace. We place particular value on striking the right balance between work life and home life. And teamwork and collaboration are just as important to us! We hold regular meetings spanning all departments, a summer festival and a Christmas party, all helping to fuel this team spirit.
We offer employees flexible working hours within agreed core hours, plus the facility to work off overtime through additional leave. This gives everyone more options to arrange their work times as required. Our core working hours amount to 39 hours per week. We also offer part-time options and models for people taking (or returning from) parental leave.
Healthy, motivated and productive employees are a company’s greatest asset. Through its established occupational healthcare management programme, KMK offers its staff a variety of instruments that promote health – all off which are regularly updated and expanded upon.
KMK invests a great deal in employee training and offers many opportunities to gain qualifications. This includes workshops, seminars, coaching sessions and even customised personnel development measures. As an organisation that offers training in the trade fair, conventions and events sector, KMK takes its socio-political responsibilities very seriously by investing in young, qualified talents, both in-house and for the overall industry.
As statistics and a number of representative surveys show, Karlsruhe is a city where people are more happy and satisfied than in other places. Not only does Karlsruhe boast the highest number of annual sunshine hours in Germany, the so-called city of law (home to the Federal Constitutional Court and Federal Supreme Court) offers the best living and working conditions. 135 cultural institutions, 102 km of cycle paths, 22 lakes for swimming, the award-winning Baden cuisine, and much, much more awaits you in Karlsruhe.
To fulfil this vision, we need enthusiastic employees to come on board.
Become a part of our successful KMK team!
